According to the information we have got, it seems that the new 2018 Ford Explorer is not hiding any surprises under the hood. The engine options will remain mostly unchanged. The first of them comes with a standard 3.5-litre V-6 which makes 290 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque. The other, optional, offers a 2.3-litre turbocharged I-4 which will provide 280 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The final and the most powerful will come with a 3.5-litre turbocharged V-6 with stunning 365 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.
Safe and Smart Package is an innovation to a certain extent and it includes safety features and driver’s assist such as the adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rain sensing wipers and automatic high beams.
2018 Ford Explorer Release Date and Price
The release date of the new 2018 Ford Explorer is expected somewhere during this fall. The price should not be much higher than the current model which starts at $32,000.
