The year 2018 brings us good news from Ford. The new 2018 F-150 will be a reworked, refreshed and upgraded version of a current model. It got its debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Although the new model is staying faithful to recognizable Ford truck features, it also survived some drastic changes.
When it comes to exterior, the new 2018 F-150 has definitely undergone serious changes especially when we look at the front end. Features such as grille, front bumper and headlights have been completely redesigned. It has got a larger grille which has been split by horizontal bars that go into the headlights. The tailgate has also been reworked, especially the bigger and more massive taillights. The whole vehicle appears to have a bulging design and it has certainly been aimed at the needs of a modern-day customer who simply enjoys truck rides, either alone or with their families. The rest of the bodywork (such as front fog lights, side steps and two hooks under the front bumper) will stay pretty much familiar.
The interior of the 2018 Ford F-150 has not been changed much. The cabin will be available in three sizes and you can also choose various trim levels. The base version offers vinyl and other optional materials for the interior and rubber floors. The seats will be in two-tone leather and offer a real pleasure in the front part with options such as massaging, heating and cooling. There is a centre console with a standard infotainment system. When it comes to technology the new F-150 has certainly been well-equipped with features such as a basic radio and audio system, 360-degree camera system, Bluetooth, USB port, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, new “Trail Control” 2018 F-150 Raptor and many more.
The new 2018 Ford F-150 comes in various versions when we talk about its engine. The base version will come with 3.3-litre V-6 and six-speed automatic transmission. It has been said that we can expect 282 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. This time, Ford is introducing us to a new 3.0-litre V-6 turbo diesel which will be able to kick out 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. The other versions include 2.7-litre EcoBoost V-6 and 5.0-litre V-8.
In terms of security, this model offers full stop-and-go option, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, pre-collision assist, lane-keeping, blind-spot monitoring and other options to help you feel safe and avoid accidents.
