Ever since the Lincoln MKC made its official debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, the fans of this luxurious crossover have been waiting to see what significant changes and improvements this prestigious brand will bring for its 2019 model.
The 2019 Lincoln MKC will undergo some serious and significant enhancements in terms of exterior design. It will hit the market as a luxurious SUV that perfectly combines the features of a sport crossover and a luxury sedan. The next-generation MKC will be even more elegant and attractive than before. Some of the updates and improvements that will be obvious could be mostly found in the front fascia. Some of these include a brand-new two-piece grille that has already been compared to the one seen on the new Navigator. Also, the new MKC will get more refined set of HID headlights that will be using the latest LED technology. Looking at the side profile, the new Lincoln will proudly show its auto-fold power mirrors. This model will be standing on standard 18-inch painted aluminum wheels, but the equipment you get will of course depend on the trim you choose. In the back part of the vehicle, you will find a hands-free tailgate that can be easily lifted by simply kicking your foot under the rear bumper.
The first advantage found inside the 2019 Lincoln MKC will be its quieter cabin. The outside noise and vibrations will be largely reduced thanks to its active noise control. Its modern, spacious and comfortable cabin will perfectly accommodate up to five adult passengers. The front bucket seats will be heated and cooled. For even more pleasant driving experience, the new MKC will provide a panoramic Vista Roof as well as an ambient lighting in seven colors. The driver will get the latest infotainment system with features such as navigation system, audio system, climate control, Wi-Fi connection, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, USB ports and others. The luxurious crossover will also improve its safety offering the features and systems such as adaptive cruise control, blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert, active park assist, collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist and roll stability control.
It seems that the 2019 Lincoln MKC will keep using the previous two options under the hood. The base model should come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that is expected to deliver 245 horsepower. The other one includes a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4 with 285 horsepower. Each of these will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and get an all-wheel drive as standard.
