2020 Ford Explorer should be redesigned model made in Ford for the next year. It is expected that this model will replace the current one and offer a redesigned version of it. As we concern, it should replace the old version of it, made in 2011 and only slightly changed during these years. There should be found a new engine, changed devices and infotainment system inside of the cabin, improved system of driving and controlling and many other things.
The design of 2020 Ford Explorer supports longer and wider cabin and new longitudinal position of the engine. That means slightly longer front end with wider hood and maybe the new size of the car. The car should be made on the new platform, too, CD6 model, that supports the front wheel driving system and changed the driving position. The new Explorer should remain the same shape of the front end with sharpen edges and squared lights, the wide bottom of the front end and great size of the grille. The rear end is also cubic, with a wide spoiler on the rear window and also squared rear lights.
This three-row SUV should be as well-designed and adjusted to the average buyer that everybody feels comfortable when sitting in it. 2020 Ford Explorer should have a spacious and large cabin with great devices and helpers. However, the cabin is wrapped with leather, at least in higher trims, decorated with details in chrome. In term of technology, there are things like cruise control, navigation system and Ford’s Co-Pilot Suite as well as the last Ford Sync suite system.
There are few possible engine options that come with 2020 Ford Explorer. Many fans expect that the manufacturer will produce Sports version as before, meaning a 3.5-liter V6 model that produces 365 horsepower of strength or even 400 horsepower with improved performances. When it comes to the ST trim version, it should have twin-turbo 2.3-liter four-cylinder or 2.7-liter V6 model, or like on Ford Escape 2.5-liter one. Whatever it is, the final output should be 335 horsepower of strength. The new engines should be matched with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
2020 Ford Explorer Release Date and Price
The manufacturer has not shared more official information, so we do not know much about the releasing date of this model. Since the current Explorer cost $33,000 in the base version, there are expectations that the new 2020 Ford Explorer could cost slightly higher, around $36,000. That also means that higher version, those with 400 horsepower engine should be around $50,000 and the highest trim could be around $60,000.
