The well-known Ford Focus model should soon get its hybrid edition and hit the showrooms as a 2019 model. This family sedan that has been known as one of the best-selling models will undergo some minor updates and refreshments for its next-generation edition.
When it comes to exterior of the 2019 Ford Focus Hybrid, this model is going to make its appearance as a four-door sedan. One of the innovations about this hybrid model includes it brand-new C2 platform instead of the older C. The car will also be lighter in weight which will largely improve its overall performance. Another benefit is that the new Focus Hybrid will get a longer wheelbase which promises more space inside its cabin. According to the information we have got, the new Focus should be available in four trims – S, SE, Titanium and Platinum. Most of the changes will probably happen around the front fascia where this car has also been compared to the Aston Martin models. The first feature that you will notice is its extended chrome grille. The car will also get redesigned headlights and fog lights that will be using the latest LED technology. You should expect some minor upgrades in the rear part of the vehicle as well. The new Focus Hybrid will probably be standing on standard 18-inch aluminum wheels, no difrent than regular 2019 Ford Focus.
Inside the 2019 Ford Focus Hybrid, you can expect a modern and comfortable cabin. It will be spacious enough to accommodate up to five adult passengers. Also, the rear seats can be folded flat in order to get more cargo space. We expect that the new Focus Hybrid will also use better-quality materials to cover the seats and furnish the cabin, at least in Platinum trim. The driver will get a large touch-screen display in the center console that will provide the latest SYNC3 infotainment system instead of the older My Ford Touch. It will include features such as navigation, HD radio, Sirius XM Radio, automatic dual-zone climate control, Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
One of the possible options that the 2019 Ford Focus Hybrid will use under its hood is a 2.0-liter Atkinson four-cylinder engine. The Focus will combine the gas engine with an electric motor and a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that should be now placed under the seats instead of the trunk. This combination is expected to deliver up to 188 horsepower and 129 pound-feet of torque. It will be mated to a CVT, but we hope for more information soon.
