If you are planning to buy a trustworthy sedan in the future, with acceptable fuel economy and average equipment and design, then 2020 Ford Taurus should be on your list to consider off. Unfortunately, the world has been hit by the news that this model will not be produced in the future, so maybe this is the last chance to choose one of them. As the matter of fact, the manufacturer announced that they withdrew Fiesta, and Fusion along with the Taurus, while Focus will be on the market only as a sporty hatchback. When it comes to the Mustang and Lincoln sedans, their destiny is still not defined, so they are still on the market, at least as sporty versions. As Michael Levine, Ford’s spokesman, explained, sedans are not attractive anymore and marked dropping on the list of the well-sold cars, so they will invest in improving their crossovers and large SUVs in the future.
Sadly, Taurus has been one of the cars that raised up the Ford during tough 80’s and 90’s and has been popular among the younger population to their design and low fuel consumption. They also stopped with production and then back it to the market in 2008, so let’s say that this is perhaps another marketing trick of the Ford and that Taurus will be continued in years to come, it will surely look like last year model, which showed many interesting features.
2020 Ford Taurus should inherit design from the last year model, including simple but attractive rhomboidal mesh grille and wide air intake on the bottom, along with the thin front lights and long and wide sedan-like rear end.
The cabin in 2020 Ford Taurus should get all interesting things like rear seat vents, Ice Blue instrumentation illumination, SYNC infotainment system with a 4.2-inch display screen, six-way power driver seat, dual-chrome tip exhaust, keys, illuminated entries, and the Post-Crash Alert SOS system.
The last year model had three engines offered – a 2.0-liter, 3.5-liter V6, and 3.5-liter Eco Boost model, with great fuel economy and strength. They could be found on 2020 Ford Taurus, too.
2020 Ford Taurus Release Date and Price
The manufacturer said that production of the Taurus finally stops in March 2019, but they have not précised if that will be 2020 Ford Taurus, a slightly redesigned version of this generation or only repeated model from this year. They also have not said if Taurus will be offered to China, and then imported from them, and finally, they have not explained how they will replace the whole line of the cars since they will invest only in SUVs and crossovers in the future. Whatever it is, the price of this car should be $31,000 as a standard model, and it will be on the market at least few months of 2019.
